Fukagawa Edo Museum will hold an Edo-life rakugo class for students on August 2

Fukagawa Edo Museum will hold a one-hour class for students on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Rakugo performer Yanagiya Koshin will use rakugo and short comic stories to introduce how people lived and the culture they shared in the Edo period. The class runs from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the museum's basement recreation hall.

The program is for students from fifth grade in elementary school through third grade in junior high school, ages 11 to 15. Capacity is 30, and applications are accepted on a first-come basis online, by phone or at the museum until the class is full. Guardians may not participate.

The participation fee is ¥50, including the child admission fee, and must be paid at the venue on the day. The museum is at 1-3-28 Shirakawa, Koto City, near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. Check the official page for availability before applying.
