Edo-Tokyo Museum holds architecture exercise workshop on August 15

Edo-Tokyo Museum will hold Kenchiku Taiso: Western-Style Buildings on Saturday, August 15, 2026. The one-hour workshop begins at 2:00 p.m. in the museum's first-floor meeting room and invites participants to use body movements to recreate Meiji-era Western-style architecture.

The program is open to elementary-school students and older visitors, with a capacity of 40. Participation is free. Numbered tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis outside the meeting room from 1:30 p.m., so arriving before the 2:00 p.m. start is essential.

Sign-language interpretation will be provided. Writing boards and point-to-communicate sheets are also available on request at the event reception. Edo-Tokyo Museum is at 1-4-1 Yokoami in Ryogoku. Check the official event page before visiting for any changes.
