Edo-Tokyo Museum announces its August evening projection schedule

Four 20-minute programs will begin at 6:40 p.m. in the third-floor Edo-Tokyo Plaza, with three extra showings on Friday nights.

Edo-Tokyo Museum has published its August 2026 projection schedule for the third-floor Edo-Tokyo Plaza. Shows are planned for August 1, August 7 through 15, August 21 and 22, and August 28 and 29.

The 20-minute program will be projected four times, beginning at 6:40, 7:00, 7:20 and 7:40 p.m. On Friday, August 7, 14, 21 and 28, three additional showings are planned at 8:00, 8:20 and 8:40 p.m. The program uses the plaza's ceiling and walls for imagery based on museum collection materials, traditional colors and seasonal scenes.

The venue is Edo-Tokyo Museum at 1-4-1 Yokoami, Sumida City. Projections may be cancelled at short notice because of strong wind, rain, safety conditions or equipment maintenance. Check the museum's official website or social media before making an evening visit.
