Fukagawa Edo Museum offers a yukata dressing experience on August 1
Kimono de Edo no Machi lets visitors wear yukata and walk through the museum's full-scale Edo town display.
Fukagawa Edo Museum will hold its Kimono de Edo no Machi yukata dressing experience on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The program runs from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the permanent exhibition room, with final reception at 3:00 p.m.
Participants can walk through and take photos in the museum's full-scale Edo town display while wearing yukata. The fee is 3,500 yen for any gender and includes admission to the permanent exhibition. Reservations are accepted by phone or at the museum counter.
The program is for guests 140 cm or taller, although the museum asks those under 140 cm to consult staff. Bring suitable undergarments, such as a tank top and leggings, plus geta or sandals. Guests accepted at the final reception must finish viewing and change clothes by 4:40 p.m.
