Two short traditional-performance sessions are scheduled inside the permanent exhibition near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa.

Fukagawa Edo Museum will hold its traditional-performance program Edo no Iki Kappore on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in the permanent exhibition near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa.

The official page lists two performance times, 11:30 to 11:55 and 13:30 to 13:55. The venue is in front of the fire lookout tower on the basement floor, where the museum recreates the streetscape of Edo-period Fukagawa.

The museum describes Kappore as a performing art connected to the Sumiyoshi Odori that reached Edo in the Bunka-Bunsei period, later appearing in kabuki, yose, ozashiki entertainment, and street performance. If you plan to visit the permanent exhibition that day, check the museum's latest notice before going.
