Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center observation terrace closes at 3:00 p.m. on fireworks day

On July 25, the seventh-floor exhibition space and eighth-floor terrace will have shorter hours, while meeting rooms will be unavailable all day.

Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center will change access to several floors on Saturday, July 25, 2026, when the 49th Sumida River Fireworks Festival is held. The seventh-floor exhibition space and eighth-floor observation terrace will be open only from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The fourth- and fifth-floor meeting rooms will be unavailable all day. The first, second and sixth floors will keep their regular 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. hours, while the basement restrooms will remain available until 10:00 p.m.

The eighth-floor cafe will operate normally from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and serve advance-reservation customers only from 5:30 p.m. The center is at 2-18-9 Kaminarimon, Taito City, opposite Kaminarimon. Check the city notice before visiting in case the arrangements change.
