Torigoe Festival in Kuramae runs June 6, 7, and 9

The large mikoshi is scheduled to move through parish neighborhoods on Sunday, with the evening return to the shrine.

Torigoe Festival at Torigoe Shrine in the Kuramae and Asakusabashi area is listed for June 6, June 7, and June 9, 2026.

The Taito City tourism site says the Sunday procession starts early in the morning, with the large sengane mikoshi moving through parish neighborhoods. In the evening, lanterns are lit for the return route to the shrine.

The shrine is at 2-4-1 Torigoe, Taito City. Streets around the shrine can become crowded during the festival, so check the latest official information and local traffic guidance before visiting.
