Kuramae Orange Library elevator unavailable through late October
Because of elevator work at Kankyo Fureai-kan Himawari, visitors to the sixth-floor library need to use the stairs.
Taito City Library has announced that the elevator for Kuramae Orange Library cannot be used during construction at Kankyo Fureai-kan Himawari. The work is scheduled from June 15 through the end of October 2026.
Kuramae Orange Library is a small library on the sixth floor of the building at 4-14-6 Kuramae. During the work period, visitors need to use the stairs to reach the library.
The library is normally open from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Tuesday through Sunday and has no reading or study seats. People who would have difficulty using the stairs should consider changing pickup locations or using another Taito City library before heading to Kuramae.
