Fukagawa Edo Museum will host Fukaedo Explorer on July 11 and 12 with advance sign-up
The child-focused guided tour walks through the museum's permanent Edo streetscape near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa.
Fukagawa Edo Museum has opened applications for Fukaedo Explorer: Discover the Secrets of Edo Life, a one-hour guided tour through its permanent exhibition hall on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, 2026.
The museum says staff will guide visitors through the recreated Fukagawa townscape while using ukiyo-e and old map boards to explain everyday ideas and habits from the Edo period. Children who solve the tour's clues receive a completion certificate at the end.
This is practical for families planning a Kiyosumi-Shirakawa outing because it starts early, from 9:30 to 10:30, and the notice says participants must apply in advance, attend with a guardian, and buy an exhibition ticket before gathering near the first-floor lobby by 9:30. The museum also notes that each application can join only one day and that the content is the same on both dates.
