Tobacco and Salt Museum will host its Robun hikifuda lecture on June 13
A June 13 exhibition-related talk near Tokyo Skytree will focus on Meiji-era advertising prints by writer Kanagaki Robun.
The Tobacco and Salt Museum in Yokokawa has scheduled an exhibition-related lecture titled Hikifuda by the writer Robun for Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 14:00. The lecture is tied to the museum’s current special exhibition on Meiji-era shop signs and advertising prints.
The museum says the speaker will be Takagi Hajime, professor emeritus at Chiba University, and the venue will be the third-floor audiovisual hall. The event page lists a first-come capacity of 60 people through advance web reservation.
Participation in the lecture itself is free, but the museum says you still need regular admission, listed there as 300 yen for adults and university students and 100 yen for visitors 65 and older or elementary through high school students. If you are combining it with a Tokyo Skytree area walk, bring the reservation email or printed copy because staff will check it at entry.
