Tokyo Skytree will extend operating hours on selected summer vacation dates
From July 18 to August 22, weekend and holiday schedules around summer vacation will open earlier or close later.
Tokyo Skytree Town says Tokyo Skytree will run longer hours on selected dates during the 2026 summer vacation period so more visitors can use the observation decks.
The official release lists three patterns: 9:00 to 22:30 on selected weekends and holidays from July 18 to August 22, 9:00 to 22:00 on selected weekdays, and 8:00 to 22:30 from Tuesday, August 11, through Saturday, August 15. The same notice says July 25, the Sumida River Fireworks date, will use split normal hours of 9:00 to 17:00 and 20:30 to 22:30 because of special operations.
For people planning summer visits around Tokyo Skytree Town, this is a practical schedule update because morning and late-evening entry windows will change by date. The operator recommends advance web ticket purchase on busy days, so it makes sense to check the latest schedule before going.
