The September Grand Sumo Tournament runs at Ryogoku Kokugikan from September 13 to 27

The 15-day tournament opens in Ryogoku, with remaining seats listed through official ticket outlets.

The September Grand Sumo Tournament will take place at Ryogoku Kokugikan from Sunday, September 13 through Sunday, September 27, 2026. The 15-day schedule begins with opening day on September 13 and ends with the final day on September 27.

General ticket sales began on August 8. The Japan Sumo Association lists online, convenience-store and telephone purchase options. Same-day sales are available only when seats have not sold out in advance, so check the official ticket information before traveling to Ryogoku.

Ryogoku Kokugikan is at 1-3-28 Yokoami, Sumida City, about two minutes on foot from the west exit of JR Ryogoku Station or five minutes from Toei Ryogoku Station. Visitors aged four and older need an admission ticket. Opening times vary during the tournament, and the venue has no visitor parking.
