Tanabata Yakai 2026 will be held at Sumida Park Soyokaze Hiroba on July 7

The evening Tanabata event brings together craft beer, Taiwanese night-market games, wish strips, and small vendors.

The Sumida Tourism Association has listed the 41st Soyokaze Tsunagaru Fes, Tanabata Yakai 2026, for Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Sumida Park Soyokaze Hiroba in Mukojima. The event is scheduled from 17:00 to 21:00, with free entry and cancellation if it rains.

The posted content includes craft beer, handmade food and drinks, sausages, a small-goods lottery, tenugui, tarot readings, Taiwanese night-market games, and a Tanabata craft workshop. Visitors can also write wishes on tanzaku and hang them on bamboo; the notice says the strips will later be burned ritually at Ushijima Shrine.

The venue sits between the Asakusa riverside and Tokyo Skytree area, so it is practical for people planning an evening walk across the Sumida River or around Tokyo Mizumachi. Check the official event page before going, especially because the event is weather-dependent.
