Megurin routes will detour from June 4 for Torigoe Festival
South, East-West, and Gururi Megurin services will skip some stops around Torigoe Shrine during the festival period.
Taito City has announced detours for Megurin bus services because of traffic restrictions around Torigoe Festival. The changes affect Minami Megurin from Thursday, June 4, through Monday, June 8, and they affect East-West Megurin and Gururi Megurin on June 6 and June 7.
On Minami Megurin, the city says Taito District Center and Mitsui Memorial Hospital will be skipped from the afternoon of June 4 through part of June 8, while a longer list of stops including Shin-Okachimachi Station, Asakusabashi Station North, Torigoe Shrine, and Misuji Senior Welfare Center East will be skipped all day on June 6 and June 7. East-West Megurin will also bypass four stops on those two days, and Gururi Megurin will bypass eight stops including Torigoe Shrine.
The notice adds that Minami Megurin will run on a temporary timetable on June 6 and June 7, and delays are possible because of traffic conditions. If you plan to move between Kuramae, Asakusabashi, and the festival area by bus, check the city notice or stop postings before you head out.
