Sumida Aquarium starts summer study guides and hands-on programs

A free guide covers six species, while paid sessions and a daily goldfish craft run through September 14.

Sumida Aquarium is offering a summer study program from July 14 through September 14, 2026. A free guide available on the sixth-floor terrace gives children observation missions covering six species in the aquarium. Distribution ends when supplies run out.

The aquarium is also holding three ¥1,000 programs focused on jellyfish, fur seals, and goldfish. Dates, recommended ages, capacity, and meeting points differ, and advance ticket purchase is required. A separate paper craft called E-gawari Kingyo runs every day during the period at the fifth-floor Aqua Academy; participation is free, but regular aquarium admission is still required.

Sumida Aquarium is on the fifth and sixth floors of Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi at 1-1-2 Oshiage, Sumida City. The paid sessions have limited capacity and some dates have special age or guardian rules, so families should check the official schedule and ticket status before visiting.
