Tokyo Solamachi displays a mikoshi and offers children's carrying sessions from September 12

With support from the local Koume 1-chome neighborhood association, lion dances and children's mikoshi sessions will take place on September 19 and 20.

Tokyo Solamachi will hold Tokyo Solamachi Omikoshi Wasshoi from Saturday, September 12, through Sunday, September 20, 2026. A mikoshi supported by the local Koume 1-chome neighborhood association will be displayed on the first floor of the East Yard.

On September 19 and 20, lion dances are scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Hanamizaka Plaza special venue. Children's mikoshi carrying sessions start at noon and 3:00 p.m. each day, with participants meeting at Soramizaka Plaza. Children's happi coats will be available to borrow.

Participation in the carrying sessions is limited, and the program may change in wet weather. Tokyo Solamachi is at 1-1-2 Oshiage, Sumida City. Check the official release before visiting for the latest schedule and participation details.
