Postal Museum's Posukuma summer event runs through September 23
The program combines original-art displays and animation screenings with a Tokyo Solamachi quiz rally and weekend workshops.
Postal Museum Japan is holding Posukuma's Summer Vacation 2026 from Saturday, August 1, through Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The exhibition presents original artwork of the postal bear introducing places around Japan, along with illustrations from volumes three and four of the Forest Post Office picture-book series. Posukuma animation is also shown in the permanent gallery's theater.
Visitors can request a rally sheet and follow a quiz route through the exhibition and Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi. Those who complete it receive one of three Posukuma straps, with the design changing during the event. The museum also schedules weekend activities, including postcard crafts on August 15 and 30 and a postal-work experience on August 23; some activities need same-day numbered tickets or may end when materials run out.
The museum is on the ninth floor of Tokyo Solamachi and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with final admission at 5:00 p.m. Admission is ¥300 for adults and ¥150 for elementary, junior-high and high-school students.
