A limited-time sale with discounted Hirota Glass items and other off-spec pieces is now running near Tokyo Skytree.
Connect Sumida in Tokyo Mizumachi has started the Sumida Glass Sale, a limited-time event that runs from Wednesday, June 10, to Monday, July 6, 2026.
The Sumida City Tourism Association event page says long-running local glass maker Hirota Glass is selling glassware at special prices, including off-spec pieces such as slightly thicker tableware that would not usually be sold through regular channels.
The venue is Connect Sumida [Machidokoro] in Tokyo Mizumachi East Zone E03, open from 10:30 to 18:00 and closed on Tuesdays. For people walking between Tokyo Skytree and the riverside, it is a practical short-run stop to know about, but stock will likely vary during the sale period, so checking the latest official information before going makes sense.
