Sumida Aquarium holds SumiPen Cheers! on September 26–27
Keepers will introduce four penguins born this spring, at 3:30 p.m. each day by the floor 5 penguin pool.
Sumida Aquarium will hold SumiPen Cheers! on September 26 and 27, 2026, from 3:30 to 3:50 p.m. each day. Keepers will introduce the growth and personalities of four Magellanic penguins born this spring: Jinbei, Kibi, Dango and Tofu. The aquarium announced the event on September 9.
To join, gather in front of the penguin pool on floor 5 at the start time. Participation is free, but separate aquarium admission is required. Before the event, the four penguins' swimming schedule for September 12–25 is available in the aquarium and on social media, with a calendar also linked from the official announcement.
The venue is in front of the penguin pool at Sumida Aquarium, floor 5, Tokyo Skytree Town Solamachi, 1-1-2 Oshiage, Sumida City, Tokyo. Content may change without notice depending on the animals' health. Check the official announcement and the aquarium's opening-hours calendar before visiting.
