A major Minami Tada exhibition opens at Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo on August 29

The Kiyosumi-Shirakawa-area museum will trace around 70 years of sculpture and light-based work.

Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo will hold Minami Tada: Light, Poised and Shimmering from August 29 to December 6, 2026.

The exhibition introduces about 70 years of Tada’s work, including early paintings, sculpture from different periods, lighting works she called light modeling, architectural parts, photographs, and sketches.

The museum is at 4-1-1 Miyoshi, a walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. Opening hours are listed as 10:00 to 18:00, with entry until 30 minutes before closing. Check the official museum page for closed days and ticket details.
