88MATCHA opens a limited-time counter at Asakusa ROX through August 21

The first-floor entrance counter serves matcha lattes made with first-harvest tea, including a 30-cup daily special.

Matcha drink specialist 88MATCHA has opened a limited-time counter at the first-floor entrance of Asakusa ROX. The counter runs from Friday, August 7 through Friday, August 21, 2026, giving visitors two weeks to stop by during the summer holiday period.

According to Asakusa ROX, the shop uses selected first-harvest tea from across Japan and keeps its drinks lightly sweetened. The standard 88 Matcha Latte, made with a tea-master blend, costs ¥1,200 including tax. An Uji Matcha Latte priced at ¥3,900 including tax is limited to 30 cups per day.

Asakusa ROX is at 1-25-15 Asakusa, one minute on foot from Exit A1 of Tsukuba Express Asakusa Station. The facility's general hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., but some shops differ. Check the official news page and current facility hours before visiting, especially if you want the limited drink.
